On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, IEK HORIZON organized and implemented, in collaboration with the team of Chef Yiannis Loukakos, a holistic experiential education event!

The delegation of IEK HORIZON arrived early in the morning in Athens, specifically in Chalandri at "The Seminar Project".

The Cooking Workshop of "The Seminar Project" is designed with high standards and is fully equipped with all the necessary tools. The entire atmosphere resembles an ideal and fully functional home kitchen.

The renowned Chef and his team curated a unique cooking event, specially designed for the culinary students of IEK HORIZON. After forming mixed teams of graduates and first-year students, the budding chefs created two distinct recipes, under the guidance of Chef George Katsanevakis.

The continuation included a visit to the restaurant "Bread & Salt", aimed at guiding the students through the kitchen space, where ala carte is prepared, as well as through the preparation and storage areas, by Chef Christos Blithikiotis.

The experience concluded with a delicious meal at the restaurant, along with a discussion with Chef Akis Varthalamis.

The students were accompanied by the Director of IEK HORIZON, Mr. Stakias Nikolaos, along with the Head of the Culinary Department, Chef Stelios Barbeas, and the coordinator of the educational activities of IEK HORIZON, Ms. Pachou Nota.

At the same time, the students of the Nursery Department, along with the head of the Pedagogical Department, Ms. Ioanna Siamantzioura, visited the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation and watched the children's play "PoupoulaApp" by the Copernicus team, on the occasion of World Children's Theatre Day.

Then, they visited the Children's Station: "Little Stories". There, the students participated in activities and the program of the children's station.

Finally, they visited the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the bookstore with second-hand books "Book Garden".
