During the annual conference of the Tourism Thematic Team, IEK ORIZON was appointed as one of the coordinators of the EfVET Thematic Team (TTT- Tourism Thematic Team) with representative, Mrs. Tina Giannakea European project manager Ekpaideftiria Bouga -IEK ORIZON.

The conference was about 'Nature meets tourism' and was organized by the outgoing coordinator, Sedu, at the school in Seinajoki, Finland.

The EfVET Tourism Thematic Group, established in 2021, coordinated by Apro Formazione (Italy), Landstede Groep (Netherlands) and IEK Orizon (Greece): is dedicated to innovation, development and exchange of good practices for vocational education and tourism training.

During the February event, the key issues of vocational training were explored, analyzing the skills needed to quickly adapt to market trends and business needs in the tourism sector. The activities to date have been reviewed and the work program for 2024 has been defined. We are proud to be part of this group, which now includes over 68 vocational schools from 14 European countries and over 140 people.

We look forward to presenting the new roadmap for 2024/2025 at the next plenary meeting in March.
